So I set out earlier this year to walk 5 5K events this year. It wasn't a huge commitment to make and I knew that it would involve a little bit of financial support on my part because most of them require a donation or entry fee. Here is where we stand right now with that goal.
1. Walk Now for Lupus - April (Grand Prairie, Tx)
2. Race for the Pennant - ? (Houston, Tx)
3. Turkey Trot - November (Houston, Tx)
4. ???
5. ???
Not sure what the last two are going to be or if I will even get them in, but I'm going to try. I'm open for ideas if you know of any more between Thanksgiving and the end of the year.
Next year - looking for ideas for my new 5K goal???
Well the Walk for Lupus Now walk is April 9th :) ... shameless plug I know. But then watch this for even more shameless plug http://sarahsbutterflywarriors.blogspot.com/ hehe. Hey at least you did them you may not have gotten more than 3 or 4 but you did that much. There are two Lupus walks here ... one in Denton and one at Lone Star. Denton is usually in late summer. There is Autism walks here and there. So there are lots of choices.
